MANILA, Philippines – Nangako ang bagong itinalagang Philippine National Police (PNP) Officer-in-Charge Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez na aalisin ang mga “rogue” na tauhan sa serbisyo.
“We will rigorously implement integrity monitoring at all levels. To weed out rogues in service, integrity is the cornerstone of public service, essential in gaining the trust and confidence of the community,” saad ni Nartatez sa kanyang talumpati.
“In the next years, as I direct the course of the Philippine National Police, I am committed to ensuring that this institution stands greater than ever before not only in terms of strength and efficiency but also in the trust and respect of the people,” aniya.
Bago ang kanyang appointment bilang PNP OIC, si Nartatez ay deputy chief for administration sa ilalim ng noo’y PNP Chief Gen. Rommel Marbil at Nicolas Torre III mula Oktubre 9, 2024 hanggang Agosto 6, 2025.
Itinalaga si Nartatez matapos sibakin ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang dating PNP Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III, kasunod ng utos ng National Police Commission (Napolcom) para sa kanya na baligtarin ang ilang mataas na antas ng appointment sa ahensya. RNT/MND
