MANILA, Philippines – Nag-isyu ng subpoena ang House committee on justice kay Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairperson Francis Edralin Lim upang humarap at magsumite ng corporate records ng mga kumpanyang umano’y may kaugnayan kay Vice President Sara Duterte at sa asawa nitong si Manases Carpio kaugnay ng impeachment proceedings.
Sa subpoena na may petsang Marso 31 at inilabas nitong Miyerkules, Abril 8, inatasan si Lim na dumalo sa pagdinig ng House justice committee sa Abril 14.
Inobliga rin siyang magsumite ng certified true copies ng General Information Sheet at Audited Financial Statements ng ilang kumpanyang umano’y kaanib nina Duterte at Carpio, kabilang ang Metro City Chow Foods Corp., Gencorp Industries Inc., Carpio Lawyers, 888 Bistro, CALE88 Foods Corp., Madayaw Fisheries Corp., Mati City Ice Plant and Cold Storage Inc., Amianan Shores Inc., Geometry Security and Investigation Agency Inc., at Cabletow 88 Shipping and Marine Services Inc.
“The documents are being sought to identify and authenticate the General Information Sheets and Annual Financial Statements of the companies affiliated with Vice President Sara Zimmerman Duterte and her spouse, Manases Carpio, and to establish the authenticity and accuracy of such corporate records, as well as to testify thereon,” ayon sa subpoena.
Nilagdaan ang subpoena nina House justice committee chairperson Rep. Gerville Luistro ng Batangas, Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III, at Secretary General Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil.
Iniuugnay sa dalawang impeachment complaint laban sa Bise Presidente ang betrayal of public trust at culpable violation of the Constitution, bukod sa iba pa, kaugnay ng umano’y misuse ng P612.5 milyon sa confidential funds at paggamit umano rito bilang suhol, umano’y pagbabanta kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at sa kanyang pamilya, at umano’y pag-iipon ng unexplained wealth.
Nauna nang natukoy ng House committee on justice na sapat sa porma, substansya, at mga batayan ang mga reklamo, at kasalukuyan nitong tinutukoy kung may probable cause upang ma-impeach ang Bise Presidente. RNT
