MANILA, Philippines – Tuluyan nang mahuhubaran ng maskara ang ilang miyembro ng sinasabing “Solid7” na kumampi kay dating Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri matapos ibulgar ni dating Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva na tatlo hanggang apat lamang ang lalahok sa minority bloc ng Senado.
Sa pahayag, sinabi ni Villanueva na iilan lamang sa kanila ang nakatakdang sumanib sa minorya na pinamumunuan ni Senate Minority Leader Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III.
Isa sa opsiyon ng grupo, ayon kay Villanueva sa kanilang plano na mag-moving forward.
“Everything is in the open, option siya. Right now, tatlo or apat sa pito sa amin are more than willing to be part of the minority if that is the case na kailangan naming gawin para mas maging epektibo kami (it is an option. Right now, three or four of the seven of us are more than willing to be part of the minority if that is what we need to do to be more effective) in helping our institution,” ayon kay Villanueva.
Kabilang sa nagpahayag na lalahok sa minorya sina Zubiri, at sina Senador JV Ejercito, Nancy Binay, at Sonny Angara.
Naunang dumalo sina Senador Sherwin Gatchalian at Loren Legarda sa dinner na inihandog ng Palasyo kay Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero ilang araw matapos mapatalsik si Zubiri.
“We have spoken to (Senate Minority Leader Aquilino) Koko Pimentel III and very much welcome daw kami (we are very much welcome) according to him,” ayon kay Villanueva.
Sa kabilang dako, nakatakdang makipag-usap naman sila sa bagong liderato ni Escudero kung paano sila makatutulong sa institusiyon.
“At the end of the day, ang bottom line naming lahat dito ay kung saan kami mas magiging epektibo (the bottom line for all of us here is where we can be most effective) in helping the institution, our country, and the people,” aniya.
Inihayag ni Escudero na nakahanda siyang makipagpulong sa grupo ni Zubiri.
“Since we are not enemies, I see no reason why the relationship cannot be good, although we have different views on some things,” ayon kay Escudero. Ernie Reyes
