Nananatiling nakataas ang Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 5 sa ilang bahagi ng mainland Cagayan habang malapit nang maglandfall ang Super Typhoon Ofel sa lalawigan sa Huwebes ng hapon, sinabi ng PAGASA.

Huling namataan si Ofel sa layong 135 kilometro hilagang-silangan ng Echague, Isabela na kumikilos pakanluran hilagang-kanluran sa bilis na 15 kilometro bawat oras (kph).
Taglay ng super typhoon ang maximum sustained winds na 185 kph malapit sa gitna at pagbugsong aabot sa 230 kph.
Inaasahang magla-landfall si Ofel sa kahabaan ng silangang baybayin ng Cagayan sa Huwebes ng hapon at magla-landfall muli o dadaan malapit sa Babuyan Islands. RNT
