MANILA, Philippines – Binaril-patay ang assistant schools division superintendent ng Sulu habang ito ay nasa loob ng kanyang opisina sa Jolo, nitong Biyernes ng hapon, Enero 7.
Sa inisyal na ulat mula sa Jolo municipal police station, kinilala ang biktima na si
Sonatria Dandun Gaspar, assistant schools division for Sulu ng Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MBHTE-BARMM).
Pumasok ang nag-iisang gunman sa opisina ni Gaspar bandang alas-5 ng hapon at saka ito binaril sa ulo.
Agad na tumakas ang suspek matapos ang pamamaril.
Dahil dito ay inilunsad ng pulisya ang manhunt laban sa suspek.
Mariing kinondena ni Mohagher Iqbal, BARMM education minister, ang pamamaril kay Gaspar.
“This senseless act of violence has left an indelible mark on the community and the education sector,” pahayag ni Iqbal.
“We call for justice and an end to violence, urging authorities to ensure that those responsible for this crime are held accountable,” dagdag pa niya.
Nakikipag-ugnayan na ang MBHTE sa mga awtoridad para sa patuloy na imbestigasyon at masiguro ang hustisya para sa biktima.
“We reaffirm our commitment to upholding peace, safety, and security for all members of the education sector in the region, and we will continue to work toward fostering an environment where educators and students can thrive free from fear.” RNT/JGC
