MANILA, Philippines- Sinabi ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) nitong Biyernes na nakakolekta ito ng P1.111 trillion – net of tax refund – hanggang noong April 2025, na lampas sa target para sa period ng P7.045 bilyon.
Ayon sa BIR, mas mataas ang koleksyon ng 14.50% o P140.695 bilyon kumpara sa parehong period noong nakaraang taon.
Katumbas ang P1.111 trilyong koleksyon hanggang noong April ng taon sa mahigit 35% ng P3.232 trillion tax collection target para sa 2025, mas mataas ng 13.36% o P380.871 bilyon kumpara sa 2024 actual collection.
“With the intensification of the Bureau’s tax enforcement activities, specifically on the campaign against sellers and buyers of fake receipts, and with the continuous streamlining and digitalization of the BIR’s core services, we hope to encourage all non-compliant taxpayers to comply fully with the provisions and requirements of the tax laws so we can attain, and even surpass, our annual collection target this year,” pahayag ni BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr.
Para sa taong 2025, nilalayon ng BIR na makakolekta ng record-high P3.23 trilyong kita. RNT/SA
