A keynote speaker on Corporate Governance and Sustainable Business Practices during the recent 1st International Academic and Research Forum spearheaded by the City of Malabon University and the Syntax Savvy Sprachen-Germany in Vietnam, Mayor Jeannie Sandoval really made the city proud.
Presenting a research paper entitled: ’Quality Service Enhancement Across Sectors: Exploring Artificial Intelligence’s (AI) Impact on Education, Business, and Good Governance in Malabon City, she focused on detailing about the significance of artificial intelligence in strengthening the delivery of services for the Malabueños and making them efficient and timely for the benefit of various sectors in the city.
The mayor’s speech showed how she gears the transformation of Malabon into a smart city.
“We’re honored to present how artificial intelligence improves our local government’s services for the Malabueños as our city continues to progress.”
“The integration of AI technologies can address numerous challenges from personalized learning experiences to efficient administrative processes,” she stressed.
Her speech aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of AI’s benefits and challenges, offering valuable insights for policymakers, educators, business leaders, and government officials for an enhanced service delivery and overall development.
Through the mayor’s leadership, several programs that utilize AI were implemented aimed at uplifting her constituents’ well-being.
Among these is its Library’s Intelligent Tutoring System that uses AI to provide better education and personalized learning to the students in the city by giving them easy access to learning modules/platforms that can address their personal learning needs.
Her administration launched in December 2022 the Malabon Ahon Blue Card that makes the aid distribution to the residents quicker and more efficient.
As the city government implements programs that maximize the benefits of AI, the city’s first female mayor shared that Malabon must ensure thoughtful planning, adequate infrastructure, and continuous capacity building to make the technologies accessible and beneficial to all segments of the local populace.
The wife of the Father of Malabon Cityhood ex-Rep. Ricky Sandoval added that by utilizing AI to enhance the programs and services, Malabon can become a model for smart urban development, fostering innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
