US Ex-marine Turner kampeon sa Mixed Senior Classified Masters

MANILA, Philippines – Hinirang na hari ng 57th MTBA Open Tenpin Bowling Championships Mixed Senior Classified Masters division si Richard Turner matapos manguna sa finals na ginanap noong Huwebes sa Playdium Bowling Center, Arenata Avenue, Quezon City.

Nakuha ni Turner, 66, ex-marine mula sa Chicago, USA at  pambato ng Team SUGBU ang kampeonato nang itarak nito ang 1,764 points para talunin ang hinirang na 1st runner at mahigpit nitong karibal para sa karangalan na si Robert Plucena.

inapos ng ilang puntos si Plucena kaya nabigo itong maagaw kay Turner ang paghahari sa mixed seniors classified masters division.

Dahil sa panalo naiuwi ni Turner ang tumataginting na P60,000 na cash prize para sa kampeon habang si Plucena ang nag-uwi ng 1st runner-up cash prize na P30,000.

Naitakas naman ni Nelia Santos na pambato ng PBA ang 3rd place na karangalan matapos bumomba ng 1,649 points sapat para sa makuha ang premyong P15,000 pesos.

Hindi rin nagpahuli si Letty Pineda ng PSB Knights, umiskor ng 1,633 points, at kinuha ang 4th place na karangalan na may cash prize na P8,000 samantalang hindi na pinakawalan ni Wilma Catalan ang 5th place spot sa iskor na 1,622 na may nakalaang cash prize din na nagkakahalaga ng P5,000.

Nagkasya naman si Ramces Guzman (PTBA) sa 6th place na may iskor na 1609 habang si Egay Alqueza (PTBA) ang hinirang na 7th place winner sa iskor na 1,605. Masaya na rin si Ed Santos ng PBA Team dahil humila ito ng 8th place seat sa iskor na 1,602.

Tumanggap din ng tig-P4,000 ang tatlo bilang premyo.

US Ex-marine Turner crowned Mixed Senior Classified Masters champion

MANILA, Philippines – Richard Turner was crowned king of the 57th MTBA Open Tenpin Bowling Championships Mixed Senior Classified Masters division after topping the finals held last Thursday at the Playdium Bowling Center, Arenata Avenue, Quezon City.

Turner, 66, an ex-marine from Chicago, USA and a member of Team SUGBU, captured the championship when he scored 1,764 points to defeat the 1st runner-up and his fierce rival for the honor, Robert Plucena.

Plucena fell a few points short of the mark, failing to wrest the mixed seniors classified masters division crown from Turner.

With the win, Turner took home a whopping P60,000 cash prize for the champion while Plucena took home the 1st runner-up cash prize of P30,000.

Nelia Santos of the PBA team managed to secure the 3rd place honor after scoring 1,649 points, enough to win the P15,000 prize.

Letty Pineda of the PSB Knights also did not give up, scoring 1,633 points, and took the 4th place honor with a cash prize of P8,000 while Wilma Catalan did not let go of the 5th place spot with a score of 1,622, which also has a cash prize of P5,000.

Ramces Guzman (PTBA) settled for 6th place with a score of 1609 while Egay Alqueza (PTBA) was named the 7th place winner with a score of 1,605. Ed Santos of the PBA Team was also happy because he pulled out the 8th place seat with a score of 1,602.

The three also received P4,000 each as prizes.
