MANILA, Philippines – NAGPAABOT ng pagbati si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. kay US President-elect Donald Trump kasunod ng tagumpay nito sa kamakailan lamang na eleksyon.
Nagpahayag ng kumpiyansa ang Pangulo para sa mas mabunga at dynamic na partnership sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Estados Unidos.
Sa isang kalatas, binati ni Pangulong Marcos kapuwa sina President-elect Trump at ang mga mamamayan ng Estados Unidos, na aniya’y naging matagumpay “in an exercise that showed the world the strength of American values”
“We look forward to working with President Trump on a wide range of issues that will yield mutual benefits for two nations with deep ties, shared beliefs, a common vision, and a long history of working together,” ani Pangulong Marcos.
“I am hopeful that this unshakeable alliance, tested in war and peace, will be a force for good, blazing a path of prosperity and amity in the region and on both sides of the Pacific,” ang dagdag na wika ng Pangulo.
Ang Pilipinas at Estados Unidos ay mayroong malakas at matatag na ‘record of cooperation’ sa larangan ng ‘defense and security, trade and investment, food and energy security, renewable energy, climate action, digital transformation, infrastructure development, at humanitarian assistance.’
Samantala, muli namang pinagtibay ni Pangulong Marcos ang commitment ng Pilipinas sa longstanding partnership nito sa Estados Unidos.
“This is a durable partnership to which the Philippines is fully committed, because it is founded on the ideals we share: freedom and democracy,” ang sinabi ng Chief Executive.
Kumpiyansa ang Pangulo na ang ‘strong leadership’ ni Trump ay makapag-aambag sa mas maliwanag na kinabukasan kapuwa ng dalawang bansa. Kris Jose
