MANILA, Philippines- Sinabi ni Vice-President Sara Duterte na walang alam sa batas si Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla nang sabihin ng huli na “very disturbing” ang kanyang pahayag hinggil sa mga labi ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
Nauna rito, sa isang pulong balitaan ay inamin ni VP Sara na binalaan niya si Sen. Imee Marcos na personal niyang huhukayin ang mga labi ng ama nitong si dating Pangulong Marcos at itatapon sa West Philippine Sea (WPS) kung ipagpapatuloy nila ang political attacks laban sa kanya.
Ayon naman kay Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin ‘Boying’ Remulla, ang mga naging pahayag ng bise presidente ay isang paglapastangan sa alaala ng dating Pangulo na matagal nang namayapa.
“Ipagdasal natin ang Pilipinas dahil we have a Secretary of Justice na hindi alam ang batas. There is a big difference between talking about desecration of a body and actually desecrating a body. Talking about desecration of a body is not desecration of the dead,” ang sinabi ni VP Sara.
“Dapat sana siguro as a lawyer, maintindihan niya ‘yun kaagad but apparently, sabi nga ng iba, kapag mabilis ka, meron talagang mabagal ang pick up,” aniya pa rin.
“It desecrates the memory of a person, it desecrates the peaceful state that he must be in, having already perished, to disturb the body and there are many other moral principles that are being violated, and we are looking at the legal aspects also,” pahayag naman ni Remulla sabay sabing, “We’re conducting a study.”
Inulit nito na ang naturang pahayag, mula sa isang bise presidente, na ikalawang pinakamataas na opisyal ng bansa, ay nakakabahala.
“Very disturbing for a person of her rank, second highest official of the land, the remarks are unbecoming, I think and it does not augur well for the dignity of the office,” giit ng kalihim. “That’s very disturbing if a person can think that way and she holds a very high position. I think it’s very disturbing. Lahat naman tayo, hindi natin gusto iyong narinig natin.”
“Marami kasing approaches diyan. Pero it desecrates the memory of a person, it desecrates the peaceful state that he must be in, having already perished,” ang sinabi ni Remulla.
“There are many other moral principles that are being violated and we are looking at the legal aspects. We are conducting a study,” patuloy niya.
Matatandaang ang ama ni VP Sara na si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang nagpahintulot na mailibing ang mga labi ng dating Pangulong Marcos sa Libingan ng Mga Bayani noong 2016. Kris Jose
