MANILA, Philippines – Walang banta ng tsunami sa bansa kasunod ng magnitude 6.5 na lindol sa Sanriku, Japan, iniulat ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
Ang lindol ay tumama 10:18 ng gabi sa baybayin ng Sanriku, Japan at may lalim itong 10 kilometro.
Matapos ang pagtataya, sinabi ng PHIVOLCS na “No destructive tsunami threat exists based on available data. This is for information purposes only and there is no tsunami threat to the Philippines from this earthquake.” RNT/JGC
