MANILA, Philippines – Walang Filipino ang nasawi sa nangyaring missile attack ng Iran sa Israel, at ang nangyaring mass shooting sa Tel Aviv nitong Martes, Oktubre 1, ayon sa Philippine Embassy sa Israel.
“Upon receiving reports of an impending attack, the Embassy immediately instructed Filipinos in Israel to be prepared to enter bomb shelters once they receive a text/app alert or upon hearing an alert siren,” saad sa pahayag ng embahada.
Nakatanggap ng tulong ang embahada sa pagpapakalat ng safety advisory sa pamamagitan ng social media at messaging platforms mula sa mga lider ng Filipino community doon.
“As a result, most Filipinos were already sheltering in place or already inside safe rooms when the shooting took place and shortly before the missile attack at about 7:30p.m.,” ayon pa sa embahada.
“We thank you kababayans for quick adherence to the Embassy’s safety guidelines, as well as the IDF Home Front Command for its timely alerts. Filipinos are now back to their daily routines, but remain ready and alert for emergencies.” RNT/JGC
