MANILA, Philippines – Ilang local government units ang nagsuspinde ng mga klase at trabaho sa gobyerno kasunod ng tsunami advisory na inilabas ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology dahil sa magnitude 8.8 na lindol na tumama sa silangang baybayin ng Kamchatka, Russia.
–Davao Oriental – public and private, elementary to college; work in government offices located in tsunami prone areas ; closure of tourism establishments and beach resorts
–Davao Occidental – all schools located in coastal barangays
–Panabo City, Davao del Norte – public and private, elementary and high school
