MANILA, Philippines- Magsasagawa ang Philippine National Police (PNP) at ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ng joint investigation sa pagpatay kay dating Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board secretary Wesley Barayuga, ayon sa police official nitong Huwebes.
Sinabi ni PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III na isa ito sa mga utos ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla.
“Sa ngayon ang guidance ni SOJ diyan is this will not be a parallel investigation anymore between the PNP and the NBI but a joint investigation,” pahayag ni Torre sa isang ambush interview.
Inihayag niya ito ilang oras bago ang nakatakdang conference ng PNP, NBI, at Department of Justice (DOJ) sa kaso ni Barayuga.
Noong Setyembre, ipinag-utos ni PNP chief General Rommel Marbil sa CIDG na muling buksan ang imbestigasyon sa pagkamatay ni Barayuga. RNT/SA
