MANILA, Philippines – Hindi matitinag ang rotation and reprovisioning (RORE) missions ng pamahalaan sa West Philippine Sea (WPS) sa kabila ng harassment ng China sa mga Filipino.
Ito ang pagsisiguro ni Philippine Navy spokesperson for the WPS Commodore Roy Vincent Trinidad nang tanungin kung ano ang mga adjustment na gagawin ng bansa upang garantiyahan na hindi na mauulit ang panggigipit ng China sa RORE mission sa Ayungin Shoal noong Marso 23.
“There will be adjustments, I could not speculate or I don’t want to jumpstart what the tactical actions will be but we will be adjusting. the broad picture is that we will not be deterred in conducting our rotation of troops and providing them their reprovisions, resupplies,” dagdag ni Trinidad sa briefing.
Matatandaan na binomba ng China Coast Guard ng tubig gamit ang water cannon ang resupply boat ng Pilipinas na Unaizah May 4. Tatlong Filipino crew ang nasaktan sa pangyayaring ito.
Nanawagan si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na ipatupad ang “response and countermeasures package” kasunod ng insidente.
“It is our mandate to ensure that our troops are rotated and given the appropriate supplies on time,” sinabi pa ni Trinidad. RNT/JGC
