MANILA, Philippines – Pormal nang binawi ni House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III ang travel clearance ni Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Elizaldy Co. at ipinag-utos ang kanyang agarang pagbalik sa Pilipinas para harapin ang alegasyon ng kaugnayan nito sa maanomalyang flood control projects.
Sa liham na may petsang Setyembre 18, inatasan ni Dy si Co na bumalik sa Pilipinas sa loob ng 10 araw matapos matanggap ang notice.
“Please be advised that your existing Travel Clearance for your personal trip is hereby revoked effective immediately,” saad sa notice.
“This revocation is issued in the paramount interest of the public and due to the existence of pressing national matters requiring your physical presence,” dagdag pa.
Inatasan si Co na bumalik at sinabing “it is necessary to address the aforementioned matters with urgency”.
“Failure to comply with this directive within the prescribed period shall be construed as a refusal to subject yourself to the lawful processes of the House of Representatives and may result in the inititation of appropriate disciplinary and legal actions. Your immediate and strict compliance is expected,” dagdag pa.
