PERU – Isa ang nasawi habang 47 ang sugatan sa hindi pa tukoy na insidente sa Alejandro Villanueva Stadium sa Lima, Peru nitong Biyernes, Abril 3 sa isang rally bago ang football derby.
“There has been an unfortunate incident at the stadium in which 47 people have been injured…and sadly there is one fatality,” sinabi ni Health Minister Juan Carlos Velasco.
Hindi na nagbigay pa ng detalye sa naging sanhi nito.
Ang insidente ay unang itinuro na dahil sa pagguho ng isang bahagi ng stadium wall ngunit kalaunan ay sinabi ng Alianza Lima football team na ang aksidente ay hindi dahil sa “the fall of walls or structural failures of the sports complex.”
Ani Velasco, 39 sa mga biktima ang dinala sa iba’t ibang ospital sa Lima kabilang ang tatlo na nasa kritikal na kondisyon.
Sinabi naman ni Fire Chief Marcos Pajuelo na “the structure of the southern stands appeared to be in good condition. There are no collapsed walls or sections fallen into the pit.”
