MANILA, Philippines- Nadakip ng Philippine National Police – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) ang 151 indibidwal at nakumpiska ang 31 unlicensed firearms sa three-day nationwide operation.
May kabuuang 140 coordinated operations ang isinagawa mula May 26 hanggang 28 na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto sa mga pugante, high-profile suspects, at violators ng iba’t ibang batas, ayon sa news release nitong Biyernes.
Nasabat din ng mga awtoridad ang P3.91 milyong halaga ng illicit at substandard goods, kabilang ang unregistered vape products, smuggled cigarettes, petroleum products at defective appliances.
Sa ilalim ng “Oplan Pagtutugis” (Pursuit), 96 indibidwal ang naaresto sa bisa ng warrants of arrest para sa frustrated murder, statutory rape, human trafficking, estafa, robbery with homicide, at iba pang serious offenses.
Samantala, sa pamamagitan ng “Oplan Paglalansag (Dismantle) Omega,” nakumpiska ng CIDG officers ang 31 loose firearms, isang hand grenade at iba’t ibang ammunition sa pamamagitan ng search warrants at buy-busts, na nagresulta rin sa mga pag-aresto.
Gayundin, 45 suspek ang nalambat sa “Oplan Megashopper” at iba pang law enforcement efforts, kung saan target ang pagbebenta ng illegal at counterfeit consumer products.
