MANILA, Philippines- Arestado sa Laguna ang dalawang babae na umano’y sangkot sa sex trafficking sa social media, base sa National Bureau of Investigation NBI) nitong Biyernes.
Kinilala ng NBI ang mga nadakip na sina Maria Jorgia Y. Gadiano at Princess Anne Custodio na nahuli noong May 10 sa isang entrapment operation na isinagawa ng mga operatiba ng NBI’s Human Trafficking Division (NBI-HTRAD) sa isang resort sa Binan City.
“The operation also resulted in the rescue of seven victims, six of whom were found to be minors based on the dental examination performed by the NBI-Odontology Division,” anito.
Kasunod ng kanilang pagkakaaresto, kinasuhan sina Gadiano at Custodio sa Department of Justice (DOJ) sa Manila ng paglabag sa Section 4(a) ng Republic Act RA) 9208, ang Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, as amended.
“The operation stemmed from a report provided by THE EXODUS ROAD (Exodus) that a Facebook account “Jaja” (later identified as Subject Gadiano) was engaged in human trafficking,” pahayag ng NBI.
Sinabi nitong “the target Facebook account offered minor and adult females for sexual services in exchange for a fee amounting to P4,500.00 each.”
Batay sa impormasyon, sinabi ng NBI na ikinasa ng HTRAD ang isang entrapment operation sa pamamagitan ng paghirit nito kay Gadiano na dalhin ang mga babae sa isang stag party sa Laguna para sa sexual services na iniaalok ng suspek online. RNT/SA
