MANILA, Philippines – KASABAY ng paggunita ng Chinese New Year, nanawagan si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa mga Filipino na pagnilayan at salaminin ang mga naging tagumpay noong nakaraang taon.
“This occasion brims with infinite opportunities as we gather to pay homage to the heritage of the dragon, a timeless symbol of power, wisdom and courage,” ang naging pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos sa kanyang Chinese New Year message.
“In its majestic presence, let us reflect on our accomplishments in the past year, cherishing the triumphs that elevated our spirits and nourished our souls,” ang winika ng Pangulo.
Idinagdag pa ng Punong Ehekutibo na ang tagumpay ay “elevated our spirits and nourished our souls,” ay muling magpapasigla at bubuhay sa “enthusiasm and optimism” sa pagpapataas at pagmamaniobra sa bansa “to greater heights.”
Hinikayat din ng Chief Executive ang mga mamamayan an “to take to heart that dreams turn into reality through firm commitment and resolve.”
Sa kabilang dalo, sinabi naman ng Manila Police District na ang pagsalubong sa Chinese New Year sa Binondo, Lungsod ng Maynila ay mapayapang at walang masamang insidente na nangyari at wala namang naiulat na krimen.
“I extend my heartfelt greetings to the Filipino-Chinese community and the entire nation on the commemoration of the Chinese New Year,” ayon sa Pangulo.
“As one diverse yet united community, may we immerse ourselves in the richness of our cultural identity and lay the groundwork for a more peaceful, harmonious and progressive Philippines. I wish everyone an auspicious and bountiful Chinese New Year,” ang pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos. Kris Jose
