MANILA, Philippines-Madaling nakalusot ang badyet ng Sangay ng Hudikatura kabilang ang Presidential Management Staff (PMS) at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) sa pagsusuri ng Senate finance committee sa pamumuno ni Senador Grace Poe.
Sa magkahiwalay na naganap na pagdinig, pinangunahan ni Poe ang deliberasyon sa P63.7 bilyong budget ng Hudikatura at PMS; samantalang si Senador Joel Villanueva naman ang namuno sa pagdinig ng pondo ng TESDA.
Ayon kay Poe, suportado nito ang kinakailangang pondo ng Hudikatura at PMS upang maging maayos ang pagtupad sa tungkulin nito at maging episyente ang paghahatid ng pangunahing serbisyo sa mamamayan.
“I know that you do your jobs very quietly and it’s always a good sign if we don’t have to face you right now, that there’s no case or anything. But we appreciate your work,” ayon kay Poe sa miyembro ng Judiciary.
Kinilala din ni Poe ang PMS na namamahala sa schedule ng Pangulo.
“I know, during the last week when the President celebrated his birthday, there’s so many simultaneous outreach programs all over the country. In some cases the President has eight events in one day and it’s mostly an outreach event,” giit niya.
“Both of you (PMS and the Judiciary) have your plates full,” dagdag ng hepe ng finance committee.
Kasabay nito, pinangunahan din ni Villanueva ang finance sub-committee sa deliberasyon ng panukalang P18.7 bilyon na badyet ng TESDA sa 2025.
“It is always nice to see our TESDA family as we work together in ensuring that we give opportunities for a better life for our citizens, especially for young people,” ayon kay Villanueva sa kanyang opening statement.
“For the past 3 decades, TESDA has taken great strides in uplifting the lives of Filipinos. Since 1994, 37.1 million Filipinos have been given quality training. The employment rate of our TVET graduates is also high. In fact, 8 out of 10 TVET graduates land decent jobs,” paliwanag ng dating hepe ng TESDA sa panahon ni yumaong Pangulong Noynoy Aquino III.
“The batting average is even higher for our Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) graduates at 86-91 percent employment rate. That is why this representation pushed for the passage of the EBET Framework Act, which is a priority measure of the present administration,” wika pa ng senador.
Ayon kay Villanueva, ilalaan ang 70% o P13 bilyon sa budyet ng TESDA sa maintenance at iba pang operating expenses, training at scholarships, at iba pa. Ernie Reyes
