MANILA, Philippines- Nangako si Trade and Industry Acting Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque nitong Biyernes na tutulong sa rehabilitasyon ng mga negosyo, lalo na ang MSMEs, na naapektuhan ng Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
Sa isang press briefing ng Palasyo, sinabi ni Roque na ang Department of Trade and Industry ay naglaan ng P2 bilyon para sa rehabilitasyon ng mga negosyong ito.
“Definitely, a lot of businesses are destroyed; a lot of businesses are affected. So, what will we do after? Sometimes we always think of what happens during the situation but after is also a very important situation that we must look at – which is how do the negosyos be able to move on,” sabi ni Roque.
Aniya, ang Small Business Corporation ay isang bangko na nasa ilalim ng DTI.
“We have now P2 billion fund for the enterprise rehabilitation financing,” dagdag pa ni Roque.
Sinabi ni Roque na P300,000 bawat tao ang maximum amount na maaaring ma-avail ng isang tao sa loan program.
Dagdag pa, pinasimple ng DTI ang mga kinakailangan para sa mga indibidwal na mag-a-avail ng loan program nito.
Sinabi ng DTI na maaaring palawigin ang loan application hanggang Enero 31, 2025. Idinagdag nito na hindi bababa sa 102 MSMEs ang naapektuhan ni Kristine. Jocelyn Tabangcura-Domenden
