MANILA, Philippines – — Ipinahayag ng Partido Reporma ang suporta nito sa planong pagtakbo ni Vice President Sara Duterte bilang pangulo sa 2028 national elections at iminungkahi si Senator Rodante Marcoleta bilang posibleng ka-tandem nito.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni dating House Speaker at Partido Reporma chairman Pantaleon Alvarez na ang suporta ng partido sa Sara-Marcoleta tandem ay “grounded not in personality politics, but in principle.”
“Inday Sara Duterte has demonstrated the resolve to confront difficult issues directly and the humility to acknowledge political realities. We believe she possesses the steadiness and discipline necessary to restore confidence in public institutions,” ani Alvarez.
“Senator Rodante Marcoleta brings independence of judgment, clarity of principle, and legislative experience rooted in constitutional accountability. Together, this tandem reflects a leadership that bridges regions and unites diverse constituencies around national interest,” dagdag niya.
Binigyang-diin din ni Alvarez na ang bansa ay “must move beyond cycles of accusation, counter-accusation, and factional politics,” at dapat umanong nakatuon ang pamumuno sa maayos na pamamahala at hindi sa political maneuvering.

Pormal na inanunsyo ni Duterte noong Miyerkules ang kanyang planong tumakbo bilang pangulo sa 2028 elections. Ilang oras matapos ang anunsyo, isang ikaapat na impeachment complaint ang inihain laban sa kanya. RNT
