MANILA, Philippines – Kumpiyansa si House Committee on Justice Vice Chairperson at San Juan City Representative Ysabel Zamora na may sapat na numero ang mababang kapulungan para mapa-impeach si Vice President Sara Duterte.
Sa news forum nitong Sabado, Marso 28, tinanong si Zamora kung kumpiyansa ba siyang may makukuhang sapat na boto ang Kamara para maipasa ang impeachment complaints laban kay Duterte sa Senado upang magpatuloy ang paglilitis sa Bise Presidente.
“We believe that we have the numbers. We need one-third or around 106 [votes] if I’m not mistaken. We have the numbers,” aniya.
Sa kabila nito, sinabi ng mambabatas na magkakaroon ng mga pagkakaiba ng pananaw sa mga mambabatas patungkol sa pagpapatuloy ng impeachment ni Duterte.
“I will admit to you that the numbers are not as much as the numbers last year,” sinabi ni Zamora.
Noong Pebrero 2025, umabot sa 215 boto ang nakuha ng mababang kapulungan para mapa-impeach si Duterte na lampas sa one-third threshold o 102 na boto.
Dahil dito ay naipasa agad ang Articles of Impeachment laban kay Duterte sa Senado. RNT/JGC
