“I’ll be very candid, I’ll be very frank with you. I want Benhur to play a very active role in government,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos.
“Of course, he has been there and he has been helping us in many ways, informally, privately. I wouldn’t mind finding a way for him in helping us on an official capacity, but just because we want him to join to play a more active part in government doesn’t necessarily mean that someone else has to leave,” aniya.
Winika pa ng Pangulo na siya ay mayroong “a really good group of people in the Cabinet right now” at ang mga ito ay “have been working well together.”
“It’s not a zero-sum thing in the Cabinet that you have to remove somebody to gain somebody else… It’s counterproductive [when] what you are trying to promote in government is stability because that is an important part of governance,” dagdag na pahayag ng Pangulo.
“If you keep on moving people around, they will have to start learning the job again. They just don’t have time for that,” ang tinuran nito.
“The people who have been sitting in their particular capacities… as far as I’m concerned is that they are doing the job that they are asked to do,” aniya. (Kris Jose)
