THE administration of Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval has reinforced its commitment to promoting health and fostering healthy, productive work environments for the youth through the signing of the commitment letter and commitment wall for the Healthy Workplaces Initiative.

Sandoval and City Administrator Alexander Rosete also led other key city officials in launching the Kabataan One Network for Empowerment and Kalusugan (KONEK), which is also known as the Integrated Information Service Delivery Network for Adolescent Health and Development Manual of Referral during the event.

Through the manual, the city government seeks to enhance coordination and referral systems among local government departments, national government agencies, schools, health facilities, and partner organizations, the mayor said.

The manual would serve as a guide to ensure that residents, particularly the youth, have access to essential health programs and services, she stressed.

The initiatives, spearheaded by the City Health Department- Health Education and Promotion Section, aim to strengthen access to health information and services for adolescents and ensure that city employees and stakeholders benefit from safe, supportive, and wellness-oriented workplaces, according to Rosete.

“These efforts form part of the city’s continuing commitment to improving public health outcomes, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and building a more resilient community for the youth.”

He underscored the importance of integrating health promotion into both public service and workplace culture.

The top city officials said the ceremonial signing of the Commitment Letter and Commitment Wall has established the obligation of the city government and its partner agencies to create and maintain healthy and safe work environments.

“The Commitment Letter symbolizes institutional accountability and dedication to workplace wellness, while the Commitment Wall reflects the collective support and unity of participating agencies and organizations,” the city’s first female chief executive told Good Riddance.

She emphasized that investing in employee health and well-being contributes directly to improved productivity, stronger public service delivery, and sustainable community development.

Present during the signing were Department of Health representatives – Jomark Thom Agno and Reginald Santiago, city department heads and top executives from partner agencies and organizations.
