CRIMINALS have little room to operate when police intelligence, swift action and community cooperation work together.
This is the direction of Police Regional Office 4A Director PBGen. Dominic Baccay wants to sustain across CALABARZON.
Two recent operations in Cavite and Laguna demonstrate this continuing drive.
In Bacoor City, five suspects were killed in a series of encounters with police after authorities received intelligence about an alleged robbery plot targeting a gold owner and another wealthy individual.
Two other suspects remain at large and are now the subject of an intensified manhunt.
The quick response of Bacoor police, aided by the vigilance of a subdivision security guard, helped stop the group before the reported robbery could happen.
Firearms, ammunition and other evidence were also recovered.
In Calamba City, police arrested a suspected high-value drug personality in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pansol.
Authorities seized 115.9 grams of suspected shabu worth more than P1.45 million, another significant blow to illegal drug activities.
These operations reflect Baccay’s emphasis on intelligence gathering, immediate response and close coordination among police units and community partners.
But his instructions do not end with arrests or seized contraband. He wants investigators to pursue the two remaining robbery suspects and determine whether the group is connected to other criminal activities.
His B.E.S.T. Policing Framework, which stands for Be Visible, Engage Immediately, Serve Together and Transform Trust, reinforces this approach through police visibility, teamwork and public cooperation.
For Baccay, every operation must produce results that people can feel in their communities.
His task now is to keep police personnel focused, sustain the campaign against criminality and ensure that no suspect escapes accountability.
CALABARZON residents deserve nothing less than a police force that acts decisively and stays committed to their safety.
