ABERIN’S CRIME STRATEGY PAYS OFF

IN a city where crime statistics often serve as a barometer of public safety, a 37 percent drop in crime incidents is no small feat. It’s a number that reflects more than just statistics—it signals a shift in leadership, strategy and public trust.

National Capital Region Police Office director PBGen Anthony Aberin has proven that crime reduction is possible with the right approach.

His ‘AAA’ strategy — Able, Active and Allied — has redefined police operations in Metro Manila, ensuring officers are well-trained, proactive and work in unity.

The result? Fewer crimes, faster response times and a more secure metropolis.

Aberin’s leadership stands in stark contrast to previous administrations where crime-fighting often seemed reactive rather than preventive.

Under his watch, the NCRPO’s focus shifted from mere law enforcement to strategic crime prevention, emphasizing discipline and efficiency.

This proactive stance has strengthened community trust, an element often missing in the battle against criminality.

Beyond the numbers, the real impact of this crime drop is felt in communities once plagued by lawlessness.

The streets are safer, businesses thrive with less fear, and residents are beginning to believe that the police force is truly on their side.

Of course, challenges remain. Criminals adapt, new threats emerge and sustaining this progress will require continued vigilance.

But if Aberin’s leadership has proven anything, it is that with the right strategy, discipline and unity, Metro Manila can become a city where safety isn’t just a promise — it’s a reality.

Salute and congratulations to Gen. Aberin, a fellow FBI (Full-Bloodied-Ilocano). He deserves recognition for his highly successful anti-crime program, setting a powerful example in the fight against crime.
