MANILA, Philippines – Nangako si Speaker Martin Romualdez na dodoblehin o higit pa ang daily subsistence allowance ng Armed Forces of the Philippines sa oras na magsimula na ang Kamara sa budget deliberations para sa 2025 budget.
Kasabay ng fellowship ng House officials kasama ang AFP officials sa Subic, Zambales, sinabi ni Romualdez na isasama ng Kamara ang P15-billion package na magiging “more than double your P150 subsistence allowance to P350.”
“We are more than doubling your subsistence allowance, and that is in due recognition for the overdue increase that we think you have deserved for a long time. And we saw it fit to do this immediately in the forthcoming budget,” dagdag pa niya.
Ani Romualdez, layong tulungan ng increase ang mga tauhan ng AFP na “ensure that you have all you need to do your duty and accomplish your mission, free from the constraints that hamper your ability to defend our shores.”
Kasama ni Romualdez sa naturang fellowship sina House appropriations committee chair and Ako Bicol Rep. Elizaldy Co, Zambales Rep. Jefferson Khonghun at Camiguin Rep. Jurdin Jesus Romualdo.
Sa kaparehong pagkakataon, nangako rin ang Speaker na sisiguruhing may sapat na pondo ang AFP para maisagawa ang kanilang tungkulin sa 2025 na protektahan ang soberanya ng bansa at depensahan ang territorial integrity.
Ang pinangakong budget increase ay bahagi ng hakbang ng Kamara na mapalakas ang military at national defense ng bansa. RNT/JGC
