“Regarding foreign remittances received by Cale88 from China, based on the CTRs and STRs… in this account, how much in total have we identified as coming from China or Chinese entities?” tanong ni Tulfo sa ika- 34 araw ng impeachment trial ni Duterte nitong Martes, October 6, 2026.
“The court agrees that Section 8-A [of the Anti-Money Laundering Act] must be considered. However, it does not follow that AMLC reports have thereby become absolutely immune from compulsory process,” sabi ni Escudero.
“The provision therefore regulates the manner and conditions of disclosure. It does not command absolute silence under every circumstance,” dagdag niya.
“The AMLC is not a passive repository, and confidentiality cannot be invoked in a manner that defeats its statutory mandate,” ayon pa sa presiding officer. Ernie Reyes
