MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. nitong Huwebes, Hulyo 3 na ang interrelationship sa ASEAN at European Union, ay “challenging.”
Sinabi ito ni Marcos kasabay ng pakikipagpulong niya sa Philippine-Japan Economic Cooperation Committee at mga delegado ng 14th Asian Business Summit.
”What we have just experienced, at least, changes now in trade policy, not only with the United States or just economy still, but with the interrelationships between ASEAN, for example, in the Pacific region, for example, and the EU… and all those interrelationships have become – I wouldn’t say under threat, but again, in challenge,” ayon sa Pangulo.
Sinabi ni Marcos na ang interdependence sa ekonomiya ng mundo ay naging “less secure” at “less robust.”
”And so that is why in the Philippines we have taken that lesson to heart, and that is why we are trying to develop those interrelationships,” ani Marcos.
Samantala, sinabi ng Pangulo na masaya siya na ang Pilipinas ay nakakalahok sa mga diskusyon patungkol sa pagpapaunlad sa mahahalagang aspeto ng global economy. RNT/JGC
