MANILA, Philippines- Natuklasan ang mga labi ng isang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) colonel sa kanyang quarters sa Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo sa Quezon City nitong Biyernes, ayon sa AFP nitong Linggo ng hapon.
Kinumpirma ni AFP spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla na “the body of Colonel Rolando C. Escalona Jr., Judge Advocate General’s Service, was found at his quarters … in the early hours of November 22.”
Ayon kay Padilla, nakikipag-ugnayan ang AFP sa Philippine National Police at Scene of the Crime Operatives para sa umiiral na imbestigasyon “to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
Wala nang ibinigay na detalye kung paano natuklasan ang bangkay ni Escalona.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the family of Colonel Escalona during this difficult time. The AFP is committed to ensuring a complete and impartial investigation to shed light on this matter,” anang AFP. RNT/SA
