KINUMPIRMA ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin na si Vivencio “Vince” Bringas Dizon na ang susunod na Kalihim ng Department of Transportation, epektibo Pebrero 21, 2025.
Papalitan ni Dizon, isang ekonomista at consultant na nagsilbi noon bilang pangulo ng Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) si outgoing Sec. Jaime Bautista na nagbitiw sa tungkulin dahil umano sa “health reason.”
“He is already authorized by the Office of the President to start the transition at the DOTr in coordination with the team of Secretary Jaime Bautista, who has resigned due to health reasons,” ayon kay Bersamin.
Samantala, napabilang sa myembro ng gabinete ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. si outgoing Secretary Bautista noong taong 2022.
Pinalitan noon ni Bautista si Arthur Tugade bilang DOTr secretary.
Si Bautista, na isang certified public accountant, ay nanungkulan sa PAL sa loob ng 25 taon bilang pangulo bago nag-retiro noong 2019.
Kabilang sa mga naging marching order sa kanya ni Pangulong Marcos noon ay mag-develop ng premier airport na pasok sa international standards. Kris Jose
