MANILA, Philippines- Nadakip ang isang babae, tinukoy ng mga pulis na No. 6 most wanted person para sa large-scale illegal recruitment, sa Taguig noong Dec. 9.
Naaresto ng Taguig Police Warrant and Subpoena Unit si alyas Sheryl, 43, sa Barangay Ususan, Taguig.
Nahaharap si Sheryl sa criminal case para sa large-scale illegal recruitment na labag sa Republic Act 10022 (Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act of 1995).
Inisyu ang warrant of arrest na walang inirekomendang piyansa ni Presiding Judge Nanette Lemana ng Davao City Regional Trial Court Branch 11 noong Nov. 11.
Sa ilalim ng RA 10022, “Illegal recruitment is deemed committed by a syndicate if carried out by a group of three (3) or more persons conspiring or confederating with one another. It is deemed committed in large scale if committed against three (3) or more persons individually or as a group.”
