MANILA, Philippines- Nagbuga ang bulkang Taal ng 900-metrong usok nitong Biyernes ng gabi kasunod ng phreatic eruption, ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
Kasabay ng phreatic eruption na naganap ng alas-11:51 ng gabi ang volcanic tremor na tumagal ng tatlong minuto.
Ang phreatic eruptions ay “steam-driven explosions that occur when water beneath the ground or on the surface is heated by magma, lava, hot rocks, or new volcanic deposits,” base sa PHIVOLCS.
