MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ng Department of Education (DepEd) na nakabili na ito ng mahigit 87 milyong learning modules at mahigit 74,000 tablet na gagamitin ng mga mag-aaral sa buong bansa sa ilalim ng flexible learning options (FLO) fund.
“These learning resources are designed to support learners who are studying independently, allowing them to learn at their own pace and make adjustments as needed,” pahayag ni Education Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara.
Sa pamamagitan ng FLO, maibibigay ang learning opportunities sa mga mag-aaral na hindi kayang makapunta sa kanilang mga paaralan sa iba’t ibang dahilan.
Nagbibigay daan ito sa flexible schedules, locations at methods ng pag-aaral depende sa sitwasyon at resources ng isang estudyante.
Makikinabang sa mga bagong learning materials ang mahigit 300,000 learners sa high at medium risk areas sa 16 rehiyon.
Dagdag pa, sa ilalim din ng FLO, ang mga estudyante na naka-enroll ngunit nanganganib na ma-drop out ay maaaring mag-avail ng Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM), na nag-aalok ng “menu” ng alternative learning delivery approaches and programs.
Susundin ng ADM ang K-12 curriculum na walang traditional classroom setup, at nagbibigay-daan sa mga estudyante na matuto sa pamamagitan ng modular distance learning, online distance learning, blended learning, open high school system, night high school, rural farm school at homeschooling.
Maaari ring magbigay ang DepEd ng Alternative Learning System (ALS) sa ilalim ng FLO, na nagbibigay ng pagkakataon sa mga nais na makatapos ng pag-aaral.
Ipatutupad ng ahensya ang dalawang major programs sa ilalim ng ALS, ito ay ang Basic Literacy program at Continuing Education program.
“We made a commitment to fast-track learning resources, and we are making good on that promise. EPA is more than just a procurement strategy. It is a game-changer in making sure no learner is left waiting,” ani Angara.
“As we strengthen our alternative education programs, we also make sure that our learners are equipped with crucial educational tools and resources to aid them in their learning and help them reintegrate into the educational system,” dagdag pa niya. RNT/JGC
