
MANILA, Philippines- Inatasan ni Pangulong Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang Department of Foreign Affairs na mag-isyu ng Digital Nomad Visas (DNV) sa non-immigrant foreigners na nais pumasok o manatili sa bansa para sa temporary period o para magtrabaho “remotely” gamit ang digital technologies.
Nakasaad sa Executive Order (EO) No. 86 na kabilang din dito ang mga kliyente o empleyado na nasa labas ng Pilipinas. Nilalayon din ng kautusang ito na palakasin ang ekonomiya at turismo ng bansa.
Narito ang mga kwalipikasyon ng mga dayuhang maaaring mag-apply ng DNV:
Must be at least 18 years of age;
Must show proof of remote work using digital technology;
Must show proof of sufficient income which is generated outside the Philippines;
Must show proof of no criminal record;
Must have health insurance valid for the period of the DNV;
Must be a national of a country that offers DNVs to Filipinos and where the Philippines has a Foreign Service Post (FSP);
Must not pose threat to the internal or external security of the Philippines; and
Must not be employed in the Philippines.
