MANILA, Philippines — Ipinamahagi ng Northern Mindanao Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (Nomcaarrd) ang P5 milyong halaga ng information and communication technology (ICT) equipment sa ilang piling institusyon nitong Biyernes sa Central Mindanao University (CMU).
Pinondohan sa ilalim ng Grants-in-Aid program ng Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development, layunin ng proyekto na palakasin ang digital infrastructure, connectivity, at research collaboration ng mga kasaping institusyon.
Kabilang sa nakatanggap ng kagamitan ang CMU, Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology, Mindanao State University sa Naawan, University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines–Claveria Campus, at Forest and Wetland Research, Development and Extension Center ng Ecosystem Research and Development Bureau.
Ayon kay Prof. Rinante Buntod, ICT coordinator ng Nomcaarrd, magsisilbi ang mga kagamitan hindi lamang para sa pananaliksik kundi pati na rin sa pagbibigay ng access sa komunidad para sa problem-solving at hybrid training programs.
“The equipment is movable and can serve both academic and community needs,” aniya.
Nagpasalamat naman si CMU President Rolito Eballe sa proyekto na aniya’y magpapatibay ng partnership, mag-aangat ng research, at magpapahusay ng serbisyo.
Inaasahang magpapabuti ang inisyatiba sa mga pasilidad, network, at digital access para sa research at extension services sa Northern Mindanao. RNT/JGC
