MANILA, Philippines – Isang House Resolution ang inihain sa Kamara ng Duterte Bloc upang hilingin sa Office of the President at Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) na ilabas ang accomplishment reports ng komisyon kaugnay ng imbestigasyon sa flood control mess.
Ang House Resolution 885 ay inihain nina 1st District Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte, 2nd District Davao City Rep. Omar Duterte, at Pwersa ng Pilipinong Pandagat (PPP) Rep. Harold Duterte.
“As the operations of the ICI are winding down, we are essentially in the dark as to what has been discovered and what happens next. Despite the legal requirement to publish, the ICI has not published any of its reports,” nakasaad sa resolusyon.
Sinabi ng mga mambabatas na Setyembre 24, 2025 pa nang suspindihin ng House of Representatives ang infra-comm hearing at ang lahat ng dokumento ay tinurn over sa Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) gayunpaman walang report na ipinalabas ang ICI.
Ang report ng ICI ay isinumite kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. para sa kanyang approval ngunit hindi ito inilabas.
“We hope at the very least, the ICI can share the report it submitted to the Office of the President,” giit ng Duterte Bloc.
Una na ding pinuna ng Akbayan ang tahimik na pagtatapos ng imbestiagsyo nng ICI.
““The Filipino people were promised a serious reckoning with the massive corruption behind our failed flood control projects. Instead, what we are seeing is a closing of the books while the big fish remain comfortably out of reach,” pahayag ni Akbayan president Rafaela David.
“Many personalities were invited to the ICI hearings. Whatever happened to them? Are they going to be charged, arrested and sent to jail?” Or will they simply walk away from this scandal while the investigation quietly shuts down?” dagdag pa ni David.
Inanunsyo ng ICI na ang kanilang operasyon ay hanggang sa Marso 31 na lamang at ang lahat ng findings nito ay ipapasa Office of the Ombudsman at Department of Justice (DoJ). Gail Mendoza
