E-market sa gov’t suppliers binuksan na ng DBM

MANILA, Philippines – Inilunsad ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) nitong Biyernes, Disyembre 13 ang e-marketplace para sa central online portal ng pamahalaan sa lahat ng public acquisition activities bilang hakbang ng pamahalaan kontra korapsyon.

Ipinakilala nina Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, kasama ang Procurement Service (PS)-DBM, ang eMarketplace para sa Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS) sa seremonyang isinagawa sa Philippine International Convention Center sa Pasay City.

“With the eMarketplace, government agencies or procuring entities can now just ‘add to cart’ or directly purchase their common-use supplies and equipment (CSEs ) requirements from competent and reputable suppliers,” ani Pangandaman.

“With only a few clicks, we can now purchase the same way we would shop in Shopee or Lazada using our digital devices, shortening the tedious process of regular procurement from three months to just 60 days,” dagdag pa niya.

Sinabi ng DBM na layon ng eMarketplace na i-modernize ang government procurement at naka-disenyong maging inclusive, at nag-aalok ng oportunidad sa micro, small and medium enterprises, social enterprises, at women-led businesses sa government procurement.

Matutulungan din malabanan ang korapsyon dahil mabeberipika rito ang mga merchant at supplier.

Masisiguro nito na matutugunan ang technical specifications at budget requirements na itinakda ng procuring entities. RNT/JGC
