MANILA, Philippines – Nagtakda ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) ng tatlong linggong registration period para sa political parties at sectoral groups sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) na nais lumahok sa May 2025 regional polls.
Sa social media post, sinabi ng Comelec sa pamamagitan ng Resolution 10984, na ang paghahain ng Petition for Registration o Accreditation ng Regional Parliament Political Parties o Regional Parliament Sectoral Organizations ay mula Mayo 15 hanggang Hunyo 7 ngayong taon.
“All parties, intending to participate in the Parliamentary Elections, must register with the Commission,” ayon sa Comelec.
“All parties, organizations, or coalitions, intending to participate in the Parliamentary Sectoral Representation System, must be duly registered with the Commission.”
Sa ilalim ng Bangsamoro Electoral Code, ang Parliament ay bubuuin ng 80 miyembro, 50 percent (40) bilang regional political party representatives, 40 percent (32) bilang district representatives, at 10 percent (8) bilang sectoral representatives.
Ang Regional Parliament Political Parties ay mga organisasyon na binubuo ng grupo ng mga mamamayan sa Bangsamoro batay sa magkakaparehong ideolohiya at pananaw, habang ang Regional Parliament Sectoral Organizations ay duly-accredited groups ng mga tao na bahagi ng non-Moro indigenous peoples, settler communities, women, youth, Ulama, at traditional leaders.
Samantala, ang mga nais tumakbo sa Bangsamoro elections ay mayroong hanggang Agosto 30, 2024 para maghain ng kanilang Manifestation of Intent to Participate in the Parliamentary Elections, sinabi pa ng Comelec.
Ang kauna-unahang BARMM elections ay gagawin sa Mayo 2025. RNT/JGC
