GADON SEEKS WHISTLEBLOWER DETENTION TRANSFER

GIVEN the propensity of Vice President Sara Duterte to order killings as claimed by Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation Larry Gadon, he, himself, has sought for the immediate transfer of whistleblower Ramil Lagunoy Madriaga to a safer detention facility.

Gadon expressed fears over Madriaga’s safety after the latter’s filing of an affidavit late last month which linked her 2022 election campaign to money allegedly sourced from Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators and drug financiers.

Concerned authorities must prioritize transferring Madriaga, a self-proclaimed bagman, from his current detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig as he described the gravity of the allegations and the risks faced by a detainee who has accused powerful figures.

“I am calling on our authorities to transfer Madriaga from his current detention due to the propensity of Sara to order killings. She has already publicly said about ordering the killing of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, more of Madriaga who is already detained,” the presidential anti-poverty adviser said.

Unless security measures are tightened, Madriaga could be harmed or killed inside the detention cell, Gadon warned.

He noted that the serving of food for Madriaga must also be closely watched as there would be the possibility of poisoning him or killing him during a riot inside the prison facility.

Gadon claimed that in Madriaga’s own affidavit alone would indicate red flags about possible threats.

In Madriaga’s affidavit, he made mention about the vice president who would often say ‘I will have him killed,’ so the detained whistleblower must be immediately transferred to a much safer place so that he would be protected.”

A former lawyer, Gadon said concerned authorities must conduct full and thorough investigation in connection with Madriaga’s affidavit saying that “campaign financing linked to POGOs and illegal drugs is not only unlawful but could pose national security risks.”

“Accepting campaign contributions from POGOs and drug-linked sources, undermines the integrity of elections and raises concerns about foreign influence, particularly given allegations of POGOs’ links to China,” he said.

Gadon, the outspoken ‘Marcos loyalist,’ has come to the point of demanding for her resignation saying she has already lost the moral ground to sit as country’s vice president given the grave charges hurled against her.
