MANILA, Philippines – Mahigit tatlong kilo na hinihinalang pinatuyong dahon ng marijuana kush na nakapaloob sa walong abandonadong parcel ang nadiskubre at kinumpiska sa ikinasang interdiction operation sa Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC), Domestic Road, Pasay City, Lunes ng umaga, Mayo 11.
Sa inisyal na report ng Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG), naganap ang operasyon bandang alas-10:00 ng umaga sa Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC), Domestic Road, Pasay City.
Ang walong abandonadong parcel, na ang pinagmulan ay sa Estados Unidos, ay ideneklarang mga desk calendars with full color; spiral bound wall calendar; book; men’s track suit size medium; T-shirts of cotton; women’s cotton suit medium; men’s cotton shirt size medium; at women’s cotton shirt medium, men’s cotton shorts size medium.
Sa kabuuan, ang kinumpiskang hinihinalang marijuana kush ay umabot sa 3,407 gramo na nagkakahalaga ng P5,110,500.
Ang mga nakumpiskang ebidensya ay dinala sa PDEA Laboratory Service para isailalim sa laboratory examination.
Kasong paglabag sa Section 4, Article II ng RA 9165 ang kinahaharap ng mga nasasangkot na indibidwal sa Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.
Ang NAIA-IADITG ay binubuo ng mga operatiba ng PDEA RO NCR, kabilang ang Bureau of Customs – Customs Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force (BOC-CAIDTF), PNP Aviation Security Group (AVSEG), Airport Police Department (APD), PNP Drug Enforcement Group (DEG), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), at Bureau of Immigration (BI).
