MANILA, Philippines – Umaabot sa mahigit P13.4 milyong halaga ng ismagel na sigarilyo ang nakumpiska ng joint law enforcement sa Brooke’s Point, Palawan, ayon sa Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
Sinabi ng Coast Guard District Palawan na ang operasyon ay isinagawa sa limang lugar at pitong residential warehouse sa Barangay Saraza at Barangay Maasin.
Sa nasabing operasyon, nasa 448 master cases at assorted smuggled cigarette brand ang nasamsam ng mga operatiba.
Ang joint operation ay binubuo ng Coast Guard Station South Central Palawan, Special Operations Unit Palawan, Coast Guard Intelligence Group Palawan, Coast Guard K9 Field Operating Unit Palawan, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), MIG22, NISG West, Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Customs (BOC), at Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
