MANILA, Philippines- Sinabi ng Philippine National Police (PNP) nitong Biyernes na magtatalaga ito ng mga hakbang upang tiyakin ang seguridad ng Filipino-Chinese community kasunod ng pagdukot at pagpatay sa businessman na si Anson Que.
Sinabi ng PNP na nakipagpulong ito sa Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) upang talakayin ang mga alalahanin matapos maiulat ang mga pagpatay at pagdukot sa Chinese nationals.
“We understand the urgency and gravity of these cases. The Philippine National Police is fully committed to resolving them swiftly and restoring confidence in public safety,” pahayag ni PNP chief Police General Rommel Marbil.
“We are deeply concerned, and we will not rest until these cases are solved. We are mobilizing all investigative assets and leveraging every capability to ensure these incidents do not recur,” dagdag niya.
Nagkasundo ang PNP at FFCCCII na magtatatag ng “collaborative program” na nakatutok sa “proactive measures” upang matukoy ang mga potensyal na banta.
Samantala, iginiit ni Marbil na ligtas pa rin ang bansa para sa negosyo at paglalakbay, at nananatiling alerto ang PNP sa anumang banta sa kapayapaan.
Natagpuan ang mga labi ni Que at kanyang driver sa gilid ng kalsada sa Rodriguez, Rizal noong Miyerkules.
