Manila, Philippines – Finally, pagkatapos ng ilang taon na pag-explore sa sound, identity, ambition, and the many directions an artist can take, James Reid arrives at a place that feels less like a destination and more like a state of being safe and sound with his third studio album, “Honey, I’m Home,” released under Sony Music Entertainment.
The new record treats home not as a sanctuary one spends a lifetime searching for, but as a feeling of being fully at peace with who you are and the people you choose to share your life with.
“Honey, I’m Home is obviously something you say when you walk through the door, but for me the idea of home became much bigger than a physical place,” pag-explain ni James.
“I think I spent a lot of my life looking for something, chasing success, experiences, relationships, trying to become a certain version of myself. And this project came from realizing that maybe home isn’t a place you eventually arrive at. It’s that feeling of being completely present and comfortable with where you are, who you are, and who you’re with.”
Ang Honey, I’m Home ay nasa digital platforms na worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.
The 10-track record marks a new chapter for the multi-hyphenate artist.
After years spent chasing the next achievement, sound, or version of himself, Reid arrives somewhere quieter: a place of being at peace with who he is and the people he chooses to share his life with.
Sonically, the album draws from Reid’s love of R&B and soul while folding in funk, soft rock, yacht rock, and classic pop influences, recorded with an emphasis on warmth and human imperfection over polish.
It’s also his most collaborative project to date, featuring Arthur Nery, Luke April (who also produced most of the record), and ISSA, each lending a distinct voice to different tracks.
A standout is “Indiana,” one of the album’s most personal songs, written about Reid’s experience becoming a father for the first time, capturing the love he already feels for his child before their arrival. JP Ignacio
