MANILA, Philippines – Nasukol ang mga ilegal na online seller ng fertilizers at pesticides matapos ang entrapment operations sa Quezon City, ayon sa Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) nitong Martes.
Ang operasyon, na isinagawa kasama ang Cybersecurity Investigation and Coordinating Center ng Department of Information and Communications Technology at Philippine National Police, ay ginanap noong Enero 15 sa Mindanao Avenue, Cubao, at Quezon City Memorial Circle.
Nasamsam ang 163 fertilizer products at 113 pesticide products matapos ang ilang linggong cyber-monitoring at validation ng mga transaksyon.
Bahagi ito ng patuloy na kampanya ng FPA laban sa mga hindi rehistrado at posibleng mapanganib na produktong agrikultural na binebenta online.
Sinabi ni FPA Executive Director Glenn Estrada na mas higpit na inter-agency cooperation ang ipatutupad ngayong taon laban sa iligal na aktibidad.
“This is only the beginning. We are sending a clear message to online sellers, handlers, and distributors: comply with FPA regulations or face the full force of the law,” ani Estrada.
Dagdag pa niya, hindi papayagan ng awtoridad ang mga tiwali na undermining ang regulatory system o ilagay sa panganib ang agricultural productivity at public safety.
Hinimok ng FPA ang publiko na makipag-transaksyon lamang sa mga lisensyadong dealers at i-verify ang rehistrasyon ng produkto sa website ng FPA.
Ipinapatupad din ng ahensya ang Oplan Bistados para mas paigtingin ang monitoring, imbestigasyon, at pag-uusig sa iligal na online trade.
Noong Enero 9, naglabas ang FPA ng Memorandum Circular No. 1 series of 2026 na nagbawi sa dating guidelines na nagpapahintulot sa online sale at trading ng fertilizers at pesticides, at nilinaw na hindi nagbibigay ang ahensya ng permit para sa online platforms. Santi Celario
