Indian naval ships bumisita sa Pinas

MANILA, Philippines- Dumating ang Indian naval ships sa Pilipnas nitong Linggo para sa 4-day “goodwill visit” na naglalayong isulong ang kooperasyon at cultural harmony sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa.

Sinalubong ang guided missile destroyer INS Delhi, ang fleet tanker INS Shakti, at isang ASW corvette INS Kiltan — na parte ng Eastern Fleet of the Indian Navy — sa Pier 15 ng Port of Manila bandang alas-9 ng umaga sa seremonya ng Philippine Navy.

Habang nasa bansa, makikilahok ang Indian Navy sa iba’t ibang professional interactions kabilang ang subject matter exchange sessions, sports fixtures, cross-deck visits, cultural visits, at collaborative community outreach programs upang paghusayin ang umiiral na mutual cooperation sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa.

“Our ships will also participate in a Maritime Partnership Exercise (MPX) at sea with ships of the Philippines Navy,” pahayag ni Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet Rear Admiral Rajesh Dhankhar sa kanyang arrival statement.

“The Indian Navy and Philippines Navy share strong bonds of friendship, and both have endeavored to participate in Maritime Partnership Exercises (MPX) at every available opportunity,” dagdag ni Dhankar.

Bahagi ang pagbisita ng umiiral na operational deployment ng Indian Navy.

“We are visiting friendly foreign countries to share our experiences and best practices with the host nation Navies,” wika ni Dhankar. RNT/SA
