MANILA, Philippines- Ipinag-utos ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board na huwag ipaako sa Transport Network Vehicle Service drivers ang 20% discount privileges ng ilang pasahero tulad ng senior citizens, persons with disability, at mga estudyante.
Sa ilalim ng Memorandum Circular No. 2025-10 na may petsang March 19, 2025, kailangang magkaroon ang Transport Network Companies at TNVS operators ng “50%-50%” bahagi sa pagsaklaw sa fare discount.
“The fare discounts mandated by law and other regulations shall not be passed on by the TNC and the TNVS operator to the TNVS-Driver unless the TNVS operator is also the Driver of the vehicle,” saad sa memorandum.
Iiral ang memorandum circular 15 araw matapos itong ilathala sa kahit isang pahayagan sa general circulation.
Kasunod ang kautusan ng paglitaw sa isang Senate hearing na ang mga driver ang umaako sa fare discounts.
Pinaalalahanan ni LTFRB Chairperson Teofilo Guadiz ang TNCs at TNVS operators na tumalima sa kautusan.RNT/SA
