MANILA, Philippines- Pinanindigan ng Malakanyang na wala ni isa man sa Batas Militar at term extension ang bahagi ng agenda ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. kasunod ng reorganisasyon ng National Security Council (NSC).
Nauna rito, ipinalabas ni Pangulong Marcos ang Executive Order 81 na muling nag-organisa sa NSC.
Sa press briefing sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin na nakatuon ang administrasyong Marcos sa pagsusulong ng economic prosperity ng bansa, gawing maayos ang kalusugan at kapakanan ng mga mamamayang Pilipino at kumpletuhin ang kanyang ‘legacy projects.’
“What he has in mind is the economic prosperity of the country, the health and welfare of the people, especially those who are in the lower classes, and the prioritization of his legacy projects,” ang sinabi ni Bersamin.
“It’s not about martial law. It’s not about extending himself in power. No, he has no thinking about that. He does not even think in those terms,” dagdag na winika nito.
Ang pahayag na ito ni Bersamin ay tugon sa mga kritiko na kinukuwestiyon ang Executive Order 81 na nag-organisa sa NSC.
Tinuran pa ng opisyal na “power falls within the President’s responsibility to ensure that whoever advises him is within his fullest trust and confidence.” Kris Jose
